How to Cure Backache fast at Home

Back pain often strikes when something’s amiss with the delicate column of bones, muscles, ligaments and joints that holds you up. But many other conditions, like strains, arthritis, hairline spine fractures and even kidney infections, can cause your back to throb.
The cause of back pain can be complicated, there are many different actions you can take to help alleviate your back pain or prevent it from getting worst. It is all about relieving pressure, reducing strain, protecting your spine, and strengthening your muscles. Dry Ginger, Ginger root, which is used to cure vomiting, can also be used in the treatment of back pain. The anti-inflammatory compounds in ginger can give you relief from a backache. Apply some  dry ginger powder paste on the affected area, followed by eucalyptus oil.  Second way is to cut 4 to 6 thin slices of fresh ginger root and put them in one and one-half cups of water. Simmer and boil it on low heat for 10 to 15 minutes. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature and strain it. Add honey and then drink it. You can drink this ginger tea two or three times a day for a few days or until you see improvement. We can also make an herbal tea with one half teaspoon of black pepper corns, one half teaspoon of cloves and one teaspoon of dry ginger powder.

Basil Leaves,  Basil leaves can also come to your rescue when suffering from a backache. Add 8 to 10 basil leaves to one cup of water and boil it until the water evaporates to half. Let it cool to room temperature and then add a pinch of salt. For mild pain, drink this water once daily,for severe pain, drink it twice daily.

Poppy Seeds, Poppy seeds work wonders as remedy of backache.Grind together 100 gm each of poppy seeds (khus khus) and rock candy (misri). Consume two teaspoons of this mixture twice daily, followed by a glass of milk

Herbal Oil, Massaging your back with an herbal oil can help your muscles relax and relieve pain. You can use any herbal oil such as eucalyptus oil, almond oil, seasme oil, olive oil or coconut oil. Heat the oil until warm and massage it gently over the aching area.

Garlic, Garlic is another ingredient that can help treat a backache. Simply eat two to three cloves of garlic every morning on empty stomach. You can also massage your back with garlic oil. To make garlic oil, heat some coconut oil, mustard oil or sesame oil on low heat and then add 8 to 10 cloves of smashed garlic without removing skin to it. Fry the garlic until it is brown. Strain the oil and let it cool to room temperature. Massage your back gently with the oil. Leave it on for some time and then take a bath in warm water.

Wheat Seeds, Wheat seeds has compounds that produce an analgesic effect that can help minimize pain. Soak a handful of wheat seeds in water overnight. In the morning, mix in cuscus grass powder and coriander. Then add one cup of milk and boil it for a few minutes until it thickens. Drink the mixture twice daily for fast recovery.

Ice Packs, Cold compresses made with ice are effective in reducing pain and swelling. If ice is not available, you can also use a bag of frozen  vegetables. Put a bowl of crushed ice in a plastic bag and wrap it in a towel. Put the compress on the affected area for 10 to 15 minutes. Do this repeatedly, waiting half an hour between each application. You can also apply hot compresses to reduce backache.

Epsom Salt, Epsom salt can ease pain and relieve inflammation. Mix Epsom salt with hot water to make a thick paste. Soak a towel in it and ring out any excess liquid from the towel. Put it on your back near and around the aching area. The heat from the towel will also reduce anyswelling. You can also add two cups of Epsom salt to your bathwater and soak your body in it for half an hour.

Chamomile Flower Tea, A hot cup of chamomile tea will help relax tense muscle tissues that can be the cause or a related symptom of a backache. You can buy pre-packaged chamomile tea or make your own. Add one tablespoon of chamomile flowers to one cup of boiling water and let it steep for 10 minutes.Drink one to three cups daily.

Milk, Milk is a rich source of calcium that your body needs for strong bones and healthy muscles. Ensuring that your body gets an adequate amount of calcium can help alleviate and prevent backaches.
Drink milk regularly. You can add some honey to sweeten it. You can also make a mixture of cuscus grass and sugar in equal amounts and consume it twice daily with a cup of warm milk.
Always sleep with a pillow under your knees. Sleeping on your back puts pressure on your spine. Elevating your legs slightly relieves this pressure on your back as you sleep. You can cut that pressure in half by placing a pillow under your knees.

Change your shoes, Wear comfortable shoes always, low-heeled shoes to prevent back pain. They reduce the strain on your back while standing. Shoes with less than a 1-inch heel are the best bet for your back.

Don't slump over your desk, When sitting in an office chair, use the same good posture techniques you use when standing. It’s critical to keep good posture and support your back when sitting down, especially if you do it for several hours per day. Choose a quality chair that provides firm support for your lower back, and make sure your knees are a little higher than your hips when you sit.

Gently pull your knees to your chest, one at a time. To rise, roll to the edge of your bed, turn on your side, put your knees over the edge, and use one arm to push yourself up as you let your feet swing to the floor. Another pillow between your legs can stop your top leg from sliding forward and twisting your lower back as you sleep. Do not carry too much weight in your purse, suitcase, or bag always wear your backpack on both shoulders, instead of by a single strap
